RULES ABOUT RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Master Degree Education and Teaching Regulations of Dokuz Eylul University are taken students by due Institute through horizontal transposition. Student while enrolled in another university’s graduate program after registering at Dokuz Eylul University take successful the same graduate program pursuant to the petition by counting which minimum course load, course contents and transcripts chart showing the application, the consultant recommendation, the moment is determined by the opinion and decision of the board of the institutes department. The students participating in excange programs who had recieved their uiversities lessons, they are considered select and neseccary lessons.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND RULES

Program is consists seven lesson which total at least not less than 21 credits, a seminar and thesis. The program of Master Degree consist of necessary and select lessons.Total AKTS’s credits of Program is 120. Midterm and final exams in addition to lessons can be used repotrs, assignments, quizzes, learning activities, such as seminar presentations and project work in the performance evaluation of the student’s semester. Students should be successful completion to the relating lesson over at least 75 of 100 (GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale). Semenar’s lessons and thesis are non-credit by the local credit system and it is considered successful or unsuccessful.

The results of gained thesis of the Master Degree’s student must be defended written and oral thesis in accordance with the rules of the institute’s thesis in front of jury. After completion of the thesis examination the thesis jury usually will decede acceptance, rejection or correction. The student whose thesis is decided by the need for correction should be defended one more time within three months in front of the same jury.

Education and Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language Programm was prepared for objectives contribute to personal and professional development.The program language is Turkish.

BASIC PROGRAM OUTCOMES

1	Concepts related to the education and training and relationships between concepts are reveal of Turkish and the second language.
2	Determine how it would be of scientific knowledge production about teaching of fereign language and discusses methods related thereto.
3	There have the best use of 4 skills related to language education.
4	Know the development of Turkish
5	Developmental characteristics of students according to their level, individual differences; most appropriate teaching strategies by considering the features and benefits of the subject areas, apply the methods and techniques.
6	Use literature for language education
7	Recognize how to teach Turkish knowing it’s place and exert effort.
8	Recognize Itself in the he strength and weakness aspects and conducts studies on self-efficacy and improve their weak points.
9	Taking preliminary information that may contribute to the scientific field becomes to make progress on this issue and use everyting for it.
10	Prepare lessons using appropriate methods and techniques with technology.
11	Language acquisition theories are transferred to the students in language education.
12	Generate new knowledge of language acquisition theories taking into account.

EMPLOYMENT PROFILE of graduations

The alumni which graduate of the Department Teaching Turkish as foreign language, can be teaching in private schools and classrooms of Ministry of Education and affiliated it, can work as a specialist language teacher or as Turkish teacher or can be also government official in different institutions states in the world.

TRANSITION to HIGH DEGREE PROGRAMME

The alumni which successfully graduate Master Degree, can refer to both the field of multidisciplinary doctoral program in their area if they had recieved the currently note of ALES and had provided in English language proficiency.

EXAMS, ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION

In order to enter the final exam students should be continued % 70 of theoretical lessons and % 80 of practice/laboratory lessons.

Every semester is made at least one exam for lesson. Midterm exams, semester work and final exams that will be reflected in what way the notes about achievements and course content for the entire semester on a weekly basis, textbooks and related literature written midterm exam and application dates are reported to direcotr of institute and to students in the beginning of the semester by teaching staff. The final lesson’s, midterm exam, final exam, and / or final by the project evaluation with term studies taking into account the attendance note are given to students by teaching staff in the beginning of semester is to the principlesaccording promotional information to student and instituties. Open supplementary examinations in Master Degree lessons. Students can repeat the courses which they successfully accomplishedin order to raise their GPA with decision of Board of Directors Institute .
